Dear Existing Clients,

Starting immediately, I kindly ask that you please do not arrive more than 10 minutes early for your scheduled appointment. If you do arrive more than 10 minutes early, I request that you wait in your car and text me to let me know you’re here.

You’re welcome to arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment, but once you come in, you’ll be directed to relax on the massage table until your scheduled start time. This allows me to efficiently use the 45 minutes between each client for essential tasks such as taking payment, entering it into Quicken, scheduling future appointments, cleaning and setting up the room for the next client, flipping laundry, and using the restroom.

Due to my recent hospitalization and diagnosis of Occipital Neuralgia, I now need to ensure that I’m able to complete the essential tasks listed above but now I also have to make sure that I eat something in between clients so I can now take my medication three times during the day. If I don’t eat before taking my medication, I experience severe nausea, which can be very debilitating.

I appreciate your understanding and cooperation as I make these necessary adjustments to better manage my health and continue providing you with the best service possible.

Today marks five years since my mom passed away, and not a day goes by that I don’t think of her. Her warmth, love, and spirit continue to live on in my heart.

This morning, I was deeply moved when I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers delivered to my home.

The card reads, “To be capable of great sorrow proves you are capable of great love. I hope this can make your day a little brighter.”

The kindness and thoughtfulness behind this gesture touched me more than words can express. Although the sender wishes to remain anonymous, please know that your love and support mean the world to me, especially on a day like today.

I am currently admitted to Akron General Hospital.

I am currently admitted to Akron General Hospital. On Wednesday morning, I visited my chiropractor with severe pain, tears streaming down my face, and barely able to speak. Both my chiropractor and her father, who is also a chiropractor, urged me to go to the ER immediately as they suspected a possible vascular issue.

A CT scan with contrast revealed narrowing in the blood vessels in my head and neck. As a result, I was admitted to Akron General for further testing. I am still here, and today I will undergo an MRI with contrast of my neck and head.

At this point, I don’t know exactly where the narrowing is. Hopefully, the MRI will provide clearer information. After the MRI, I will meet with a neurologist and, if necessary, a neurosurgeon. The doctors mentioned that the narrowing could be a recent development or something I’ve had my entire life. The goal is to catch it early enough to reduce the risk of having a stroke.

In the state of Ohio, Massage Therapists are required to collect sales tax on all services rendered. Sales Tax rates vary by county and are based on where the service was performed.

In order to save money on your massages

If you plan on using a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Savings Account (FSA) credit card to pay for your massage, I will need to have a prescription written from an MD, DO, Chiropractor or Dentist on file for you. Please make sure that the prescription lists any diagnosis codes so I can be sure to add that to your receipt.
If you would like to be exempt from paying sales tax and do not have a Health Savings Account (HSA) or and Flexible Savings Account (FSA) to pay for your massages, I will need to have a prescription written from an MD, DO, Chiropractor or Dentist on file for you. The Prescription can state, “Recommended for massage.”

Prescriptions are good for one year from the date that they are signed.

Feel free to print off this one-page referral form for your doctor to sign. Make sure they list any diagnosis codes in the notes section of this form.
