I love food. I love making food and eating food. But, I hate doing the dishes!

Certain foods do not agree with me and either send me straight to the bathroom after eating them or cause so much pain due to severe bloating.

My journey to a now Ketogenic/ Paleo lifestyle didn’t happen overnight. It started back in August 2009 when I started dating my now-husband, Brian. When we met, he was mostly eating Atkins, and lost a significant amount of weight, and was completely off his blood pressure medication. He introduced me to the Paleo way of eating, and I’ve never looked back.

My entire life, I’ve always had digestive issues, I cannot tell you how many times I went to the emergency room because as my Dad would tell you, “she’s full of crap.” I remember my Mom putting Metamucil Wafers in my lunch box when I was in middle school. I honestly loved the taste of them. I thought they were cookies.

It wasn’t until 2010 when I was finally diagnosed with celiac disease, splenic flexure syndrome, and villous atrophy of my small intestines that my lifetime of digestive issues was starting to catch up with me.

I changed the way I was eating cold turkey and ate Paleo from 2009 to 2016. Then in 2016, my health plummeted. I was diagnosed with Fibromylagia, Hypothyroidism, and Adrenal Dysfunction. These diagnoses caused me to close Nourishing Massage for nine months. They made me examine everything in my life, stress, and state of mind. It also made me take a look at what I was eating.

On April 21, 2016, I decided to start a more Ketogenic lifestyle approach and I haven’t looked back.

I want to share with you some of my favorite recipes that I make. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
